His first introduction into producing music was actually the first track they (Nirvana and Masterz) collaborated on, the single “You Just Don’t Know” is just about to become an industry sensation. Masterz, based in the Washington, D.C. area, though born in 1987, has educated himself well in the machinations of the art of production. He lists his favorites as Rick James, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Marley, and Lenny Kravitz; all totally unique and spectacularly creative. Says Masterz, “It’s hard to describe exactly why, but all these artists have unique ideas and different ways of expressing themselves.” Being a fan of Timbaland and Swiss beatz, Masterz said he’s learned his lessons well. “Production is just such an important component of any successful record these days; sure, you need the song and the artist …. But, the production makes it all work. I love the aspect of making it all work together.”

 

With having a few years under his belt, Masterz has  developed ALOT of connections in the music industry.
